It was the EGR valve, but when I posted on the 5th of July my confidence was misplaced because the problem warning continued. My VCDS showed the following: Address 01: Engine Labels: 03G-906-016-BKD.lbl Control Module Part Number: 03G 906 021 KK HW: 03G 906 021 KK Component and/or Version: R4 2,0L EDC 000SG 9183 Data list group number 4 : Injection timing setpoint 6,12 ° KW. There is no any fault code except auxiliary heater which is problem with Golf mk5. Got a 2005 1.9 TDI with the BKC engine. First had problems with the EGR valve and now the cooler. So bypassed the cooler and blanked the EGR to make the reliability a bit better. Looking for someone that can remove the EGR from the ECU so i wont get an EML on. Car is not needed every day so can post the ECU. Anyone out there that can do this ? BRM is the TDI engine in the North American 2005.5-2006 Jetta. ASV = Anti-shutter valve - It also is involved in EGR function OP = Original poster DSG = Doppelkupplungsgetriebe or Dual-Clutch Transmission as we know it EM = Exhaust manifold Mar 6, 2011. #8. Great Job, I just cleaned out my EGR and intake at 186K miles and I can say that it did not look that bad. It was a messy job! Maybe I should clean out my old turbo as well but I do wonder how much buildup there is as there was marginal buildup in the EGR and intake manifold (daily italian tune-ups). vacuum solenoid valve change, the exhaust gas recycling control valve change on VW Golf 5, 1.9 TDI 1.6 TDI1K0906283A control valve EGR Seat VW Audi SkodaRégul We also have a team of highly trained technicians, making us well-placed to diagnose and treat any EGR valve problems. Click to expand Thank you, man Little/no carbon build up in intake -- on other hand, some argue ULSD + EGR = no intake carbon, but this has not been my first hand experience. My opinion is that it is a waste of money to purchase a "race pipe." The VCDS adaptation turns it down but not off. Best solution is Malone tuning's dynamic EGR IMHO. If you are savvy shopping and trawling breakers you can get it cheaper but budget £400 for the brakes and hub conversion (don't forget you will need to make sure you have the 55mm struts or the JOM adaptor brackets to have your old coilovers fit) EGR + egr cooler delete around £50. Injectors are around £150-£200. It turned out to be due to damaged engine wiring loom somewhere around starter motor. As I found out this is very common problem for mk5 platform cars. Problem was solved by changing whole engine wiring loom (part number for BKC touran is 03G972619AE). Last edited: Dec 3, 2015. As you don’t notice any drop on performance, starting or tickover I’d assume the valve is stuck shut..you’d be amazed at how much carbon crap can accumulate in the egr. You are, unknowingly, probably causing more pollution than before and your fuel consumption will be worse, and the engine management lamp makes you aware of this. Bsyipf.
